    The basis for the successful vehicle behavior optimization and following vehicle control by adaptive cruise control is a particularly good knowledge about the real trajectory shape and the position and level of the turning maneuvers. This paper is focused on finding the turning maneuvers from the GPS navigation data and using of the obtained data for extending of vehicle control by the adaptive cruise control.
