LOW-CYCLE THERMO-MECHANICAL FATIGUE OF DUCTILE CAST IRON
Original language description
The paper presents modelling variable thermo-mechanical loading using data obtained from isothermal low-cycle fatigue tests. A numerical model is elastoplastic, temperature dependent Chaboche kinematic hardening model has been chosen. Model parameters have been calibrated to follow a monotonic decreasing trend. Fatigue life predictions are also made, using dissipated energy of plastic work as a damage parameter. Approach is validated on the out-of-phase thermo-mechanical loading.
