Description of System Integration Tools for a Single Cylinder Research Engine Test Cell
Result description
This work describes effective system integration tools such as data acquisition and control systems on a test cell operating with a state of the art single cylinder research diesel engine, which is designed for basic research of combustion. Single cylinder engine concept provides good access for placing sensors (mainly in-cylinder pressure sensors), eliminating the mutual influence of individual cylinders and makes engine maintenance easier.
