Original language description
Machine tools are undesirably affected by external and internal influences, which induce machine tool structural deformations and thus decrease accuracy of the manufacturing process. Therefore, a compensation of cutting tool position is required in order to maintain manufacturing accuracy. Different compensation methods are known. This paper aims to develop and experimentally verify principles of a compensation method using actively controlled cells of hydrostatics (HS) guideways. To a certain extent, HS cells enable us to control mutual longitudinal and angular positions of moveable machine parts and thus to compensate cutting tool position.
