Engine Performance Comparison of 2-stage Boost Group with Single-stage One
Original language description
The paper deals with comparison of engine performance while considering single-stage boost group and 2-stage one. The results were achieved by means of detailed 0-D/1-D thermodynamic simulation (GT-Power). Both engine variants are compared under both steady-state operation and transient one. Different engine control means, different EGR route configurations and different EGR levels are considered while both engine setting and compressor/turbine swallowing capacity are fully optimized using genetic algorithm.
