Spray Characteristics Measurement for a Common Rail Injector
Original language description
Spray characteristics has been investigated experimentally on an injection test bench for a Common Rail injector under up-to-date diesel injection conditions. Rate-of-injection profile and injected amount measurements have been performed for a range of injection pressures. Spray formation has been visualized in a pressurized chamber at room temperature for a number of injection pressures. Spray penetrations and spray cone angles have been evaluated from the experimental data. Variation of the spray plume parameters for each of the nozzle orifices has been observed.
