    The contribution deals with simulations of the road driving with different cruise control systems (human, PID, MPC) according to the optimized velocity profile on the predefined route and focuses on evaluation of the imperfection and missing capabilities of the optimization system. That system has been designed with the aim of power consumption reduction on specific route. The whole control/optimization system developed in MATLAB/SIMULINK environment can be integrated into other simulation software.
