This article focuses on problems in designing composite parts. The problem is shown in the specific example of a shaft for electric car gearbox. An analysis of steel output shaft of electric car gearbox was done first and then analysis of alternative composite shaft was done. Research on problems of joining metal and composite and research of composite shaft production technologies is followed by. A Part of the article focuses also on the testing of bonded joints and FEM analysis.
