This paper deals with multidimensional vibration absorbers. Light robots and cable structures are designed to operate through large workspaces, but their light structure leads to low stiffness and dynamical accuracy. Passive or active absorbers, designed as one or more single DoF mechanisms, are usually used to suppress vibrations of the end-effector. The goal is to suppress vibrations with single multi-DoF active absorber in order to improve absorbing properties.
