Original language description
The article describes a simulation work, carried out within the Horizon 2020 European Research project GasOn. The work was focused on a driving cycle dynamic simulation of a van, driven by a mono fuel CNG highly turbocharged engine. The new engine was developed during the project. The experimental data was used for a calibration of the engine and the vehicle model. The paper describes addressing of possible measures to reduction in CO2 emissions in a driving cycle. Application of optimized engine operation strategies and vehicle adjustments enables achieving of the project target, which was a substantial improvement of the vehicle CO2 emissions in comparison to base Diesel engine.
