Original language description
The paper deals with the simulation of solidification of Y-shaped test pieces 30 mm and 50 mm thick. The processes of casting and solidification were examined in self-hardening moulds with silica grog and chromite grog using anorganic binders. The results were verified by the real casting of Y-shaped blocks 30 and 50 mm thick. The blocks were heat treated according to DIN and ČSN EN standards.
