    The experimental accumulator was developed at the Department of Fluid Mechanics and Thermodynamics, Czech Technical University in Prague, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering. It is a cylindrical container with a volume of 125 liters, which can be equipped with storage elements according to the requirements of individual tests. The diameter of the container is 400mm and the height is 1000mm. The container is equipped with a base. With regard to the maximum operating pressures, it is not a pressure vessel. The whole container is made of stainless steel. The lids are made of stainless steel with a thickness of 8 mm, the cylindrical part of the container is made of stainless steel with a thickness of 2 mm. At the top and bottom, the pan is equipped with a cooking neck with a G 5/4 “female thread. The contemplated working substance that comes into contact with the container material is water. It was decided on a design variant, where the investigated PCM storage substances are placed in stainless steel pipes with a diameter of 30/28 mm and a length of 800 mm. The pipes together with the storage substance form the already mentioned storage elements. With an outer diameter of 30 mm inserted stainless steel pipes, a total of 143 storage elements can be installed in the accumulator. In this case, the individual tubes are in contact with each other.

    Experimentální funkční vzorek ve vlastnictví ČVUT. Jedná se o válcovou nerezovou nádobu, hmotnost 100kg, výška 1m, průměr 0,4m s řízeným průtokem chladicí kapaliny. Vystrojení tvoří nerezové akumulační elementy (143ks), do kterých je možno aplikovat vlastní akumulační látku. Součástí je rozsáhlá měřicí aparatura pro sběr dat.
