This article explains problem of cleaning and maintenance of surfaces in energy industry. Article describes the problem of fouling of the inner surfaces of energy equipment and problems that are affected by fouling. Article also shows designed method of chemical cleaning and application of the method on a tube exchanger with subsequent evaluation of state of inner surface.
