    Finishing of thermal sprayed surfaces

  • Original language description

    Thermal sprayed coating based on tungsten carbide are widely used to increase wear resistance of tribologically stressed surfaces. For some application, the surface roughness after spraying is not sufficient and high hardness of the coating makes it difficult for finishing. In this paper, coated samples were ground by three methods using diamond or ceramic grain tool. All three tested methods achieved satisfactory results, although they differed in the roughness and efficiency achieved.
