The presented paper presents a sensitivity analysis of thermomechanical parameters affecting the thermal deformation of the rotor system of a turbine engine called Thermal Bow. A 2D FEM model was created in which the geometry of the rotor system of the turbine engine was implemented and discretized into a system of nodes and elements. Boundary conditions of bearings support, temperature load from the flow path and oil cooling were prescribed for the geometry. And finally, the thermomechanical parameters of heat transfer were varied due to thermal radiation, natural convection and heat conduction. The effect of the bimetallic rotor on shaft deflection was studied. Parameters were plotted for variation in input conditions.
