Effect of process parameters on 3d metal printing
Original language description
Research in the field of 3D metal printing is very broad, focusing on both the machines and the printing process itself. For the end-user of a 3D printer, knowledge concerning the setup of process parameters is of particular importance. The content of the paper is a summary of the knowledge of their influence from the perspective of the properties of the manufactured part and the printing process. The values of the process parameters directly influence the mechanical properties of the part, errors in the material structure, as well as the production time and reliability. Knowledge of these effects is central to optimizing the printing process in terms of the quality of the parts produced or the efficiency of the production process. The aim is to create a com-prehensive picture of the current state of the art, to determine the future direction of research. Following the information found, experimental optimization of one or more parameters can be followed up.
