In April 2022, the European organization Green NCAP ( New Car Assessment Programme - a branch of more well-known Euro NCAP, which deals with barrier tests), published the results of a life cycle assessment of cars with internal combustion engines, hybrids and electric cars produced in recent years. Total CO2 emissions, energy consumption for the production and operation of vehicles, and the effects of weight, operating conditions, and in the case of electric cars, the effect of the energy mix on emissions based on the organization’s own measurements are assessed. The average, minimum and maximum values are monitored. This article deals with a summary of the results and a comparison with similar calculations by the authors.
