The objective of this article is to explore the application of diffusion welding in bonding dissimilar materials, with a specific focus on stainless steels and aluminium alloys. The findings of this thesis present an evaluation of the potential and limitations tied to employing diffusion welding to fabricate heterogeneous joints involving austenitic stainless steel 1.4301 [X5CrNi18-10] and heat-treatable aluminium alloy EN AW-6082 [AlSi1MgMn].
