    The paper presents the procedure of designing the drive system using the "Design Assistant System" - DASY. The system is based on bidirectional linking of a 3D parametric model of the vehicle powertrain with various simulation programs. This connection allows for a very fast design of different powertrain variants. The 3D parametric models include material definitions, boundary conditions and mesh definitions, which enables fast strength optimization of parts. The system is designed for the creation of hybrid drive systems. Thus, all types of drive systems can be designed with the system. An internal combustion engine, a hybrid drive or an electric motor can be used for propulsion.
