Discrete Approximation of Anisochronic Systems Using Delta Transform
Original language description
A novel method of continuous-to-discrete conversion of time delay systems, or the so-called anisochronic systems, is presented based on applying an one-step numerical integration combined with linear interpolation of delays. The delays are assumed lumpedbut in both inputs and states of the model and not commensurate with the sampling period used. The discrete substitution is designed in an algebraic manner under the support of the Delta transform formulation. The discretization accuracy is then judged by means of comparing the roots of characteristic equations of both the continuous and discrete models. Practical motivation of the continuous-to-discrete conversion is the digital implemantation of the control theory results on programmable control technology.
