An Approach to Knowledge Exchange and Sharing between Agents

  • Original language description

In this paper, we are interested in studying the communication of knowledge between abstract systems (agents). Finite state machines (FSM) are used both as the formalism of knowledge and communication. Some machines acquire procedural knowledge by evolving strategies using a protocol that communicates FSM fragments with other agents. The communication protocol is in the form of a dialogue automaton. The selected formalism can fully describe both the procedural knowledge in simple abstract systems and the dialogue between agents. Therefore we conclude that the FSM formalism is appropriate for describing a class of abstract game playing agents
