Original language description
Inductive logic programming (ILP) is a branch of machine learning which aims at development of theory, methods and applications of learning in first-order logic. Given positive and negative examples, and domain knowledge in the form of normal logic program, ILP system looks for a logic formula that covers maximum of positive examples and minimum of negative ones. ILP is more powerful than other learning methods. We introduce the basic theory of ILP, current ILP systems as well as successful applications.
