Model of Engine's Combustion Part
Original language description
The paper introduces a nonlinear time-based in-cycle thermodynamic model of the linear combustion engine (LCE) which should be tool to develop precise control of the real prototype of the LCE. The model is based as open thermodynamic system and describesthe thermodynamic, fluid-flow, heat-transfer and combustion phenomena that govern performance aspects of combustion engine. The important equations, on which is model based, are mass and energy conservation with time as the independent variable. The whole LCE model consists of three main blocks: Throttle body, Intake and Cylinders. The main benefit of the in-cycle thermodynamic model, which is introduced in this paper, is its ability to be adequate tool for developing of modern in-cycle controller of the LCE, as well as, for developing of conventional mean value controller, which is based on look-up-tables.
