Use of Biofeedback in the Treatment of Strabismus

Original language description

Biofeedback is used for therapy of disorders of binocular vision, vergence and accommodation, strabismus and congenital nystagmus. Most systems deployed were actually experimental in design. We present prototype of an easy to use system for extra-ocularmuscles biofeedback therapy. Training eye motility with high-gain sensory feedback has the aim of normal horizontal and vertical eye movements' reeducation in paretic strabismus and in suppression of unwanted nystagmus.
