Semi-Symbolic Determinant Calculation by Means of Polynomial Interpolation
Original language description
This paper deals with a method utilizable for obtaining the determinant of a matrix. The matrix is regarded as the admittance matrix of a circuit. Nevertheless, not only this type of a matrix has to be used for the method. One symbolic variable can be inthe matrix. In case of circuits, the variable is the complex frequency s. Hence, the matrix and its determinant are semi-symbolic. Three variants of the method were used. They were tested in mathematical program Maple to find out time required for computing and achieved errors for various matrix dimensions and various numbers of digits of floating-point numbers. Obtained values of the times and errors are presented.
