Microwave thermotherapy is one of the possibilities to treat cancer diseases. The treatment area is heated by microwave energy, which irradiated from microwave applicator. As a microwave applicator we can use several different forms (waveguides, microstrips, etc.). This paper describes simulations and measurements of thermal distributions of strip line horn applicator, which is composed from feeding waveguide and strip horn (lateral faces are from dielectric material).

Czech description
Mikrovlnná termoterapie je jednou z možností jak léčit rakovinu. Léčená oblast se zahřívá mikrovlnnou energii, která je vyzařována z mikrovlnných aplikátorů. Jako mikrovlnný aplikátor může být použito několika různých tvarů (vlnovod, mikropásek, atd.). Tento příspěvek popisuje simulace a měření teplotní distribuce páskového aplikátoru, který se skládá z napájecího vlnovodu a páskového trychtýře (boční stěny jsou z dielektrického materiálu).
