    Self-Oscillating Vibrating-Wire Viscometer

  • Original language description

    The paper presents a vibrating-wire viscometer using a novel method of viscosity measurement. The viscometer works in the continuous mode (i.e. forced oscillation) and viscosity is determined from the resonant frequency of a closed loop circuit. The described method allows to optimize the sensor sensitivity to a change of viscosity or density by setting the phase shift of the resonator. This feature gives capability to precisely measure the viscosity in spite of high uncertainty of the density.

    V poíspivku je popsán viskozimetr s kmitajícím drátkem vyu3ívající novou metodu mioení viskozity. Viskozimetr pracuje ve spojitém re3imu (t.j. s nucenými kmity), poieem3 viskozita je ureována z rezonanení frekvence zpitnovazebního systému. Navr3ená metoda umo3ouje vhodným nastavením fázového posuvu rezonátoru optimalizovat citlivost senzoru na zminu viskozity nebo hustoty. Tato vlastnost umo3ouje poesné mioení viskozity i poi vysoké nejistoti ureení hustoty mioené tekutiny.
