    The Hydro Power Plant Dynamics Simulation

  • Original language description

    The paper deals with the hydro power plant modeling. The developed solution is useful for transient pipe flow study. The main part of the paper focuses on the comparison of basic solution philosophies. The first kind of solution is an evaluation using signal-based solution. This model is suitable for hydro power plant control systems, the drawback of this solution is very simplified pipe flow model. The second used model is based on the finite elements method. Finally, the third discussed solution is adirect formulation and solving partial differential equations. Main advantages and drawbacks of these methods are explained.
