Classification Of Intrapartum Foetal Data
Original language description
Electronic fetal monitoring - continuous recording of the cardiotocogram (CTG) -consisting of fetal heart rate (fHR) and tocographic signals, is a method used for intrapartal evaluation of the well being of the fetus. Our data set consisted of 104 intrapartum recordings including 18 pregnancies with umbilical artery pH<7,15. In this paper new method for classification of CTG features is proposed based on Group of Adaptive Models Evolution (GAME) neural network. The results of our newly proposed method show promising results with sensitivity of 75% and specificity of 77% depending on the GAME settings, which are better than those of classical k-nn or decision tree algorithm classification yielding results of less than 70% sensitivity and specificity
