    Technological Problems and Logistics of Electrically Conductive Adhesives

    Unlike the lead-free soldering the process of assembly of electronic devices using electrically conductive adhesives (ECA) has range of technological and logistical differences. The investigation has been focused on aspects of the assembly process usingone-component and two-component ECAs, both located at the end of their expiratory time. The aim of experiments was the specification of possible risks for the use of ECAs in the industry practice. It comes in sight the importance of compliance with the storage time and also storage conditions. Technological characteristics of unprocessed ECAs significantly changed at the end of declared expiratory time. This change of characteristics has been studied using accelerated reliability tests carried out in climatic conditions specifically aimed at the operating conditions of electronic car equipment in the Czech Republic. Investigation has detected an increased risk of one-component ECAs used at the end of the declared expiratory time.
