In recent years, we witness the trend of software systems that grow in their complexities, the market demand changes more rapidly, external factors are becoming more unpredictable. In this situation, implementation of Agile methods has proven to be an acceptable approach towards these barriers. Scrum - an agile methodology first emerged in early 1990s is one of the popular topics in discussion among these agile methodologies nowadays. This article provides an approach on implementing Scrum in mid-size software developing companies using agile project management practices and analysis to help answering several questions on what agile practices are useful in solving specific project management challenges. This article also gives an attempt to locate theposition of Scrum among other agile development methods and the opportunity to point out a framework to integrate Scrum with other agile techniques.
