In the paper the distributed parameter model of the electrostatic-actuated gas-damped micro-electro-mechanical-systems (MEMS)-based devices is presented. The model is suitable for the simulation only on the parallel computer systems because of their complexity. The described model represents crucial part of the design and optimization of various MEMS-based microdevices. It allows to simulate the dynamical behavior of these devices and thus, to optimize their shape and dimensions before fabrication.
