Infinitary -Calculus as a Metric Completion of the Finitary One
Original language description
In order to define semantics of recursive programs we consider the structure of complete metric space. The terms of ordinary -calculus are considered as a metric space. The completion of this space is investigated. We show, roughly speaking, that the terms of infinitary -calculus can be considered as sequences of finite approximations of suitable -terms. Such a result forms the necessary first step to interpreted semantics of infinitary -calculus.
