A More Realistic Approach towards Ad-Hoc Networks Simulation
Original language description
The aim of this paper is to bring into discussion the non-uniform radiation patterns (the anisotropy) of radio antennas for ad-hoc network simulations. Detailed measurements of different antenna types were performed and a better physical layer model - that includes antenna radiation characteristics - was developed and included in the Omnet++ event simulator.
