Scheduling with Alternative Process Plans and the Total Weighted Tardiness Criterion
Original language description
This paper deals with the scheduling on dedicated machines considering sequence dependent setup times and alternative process plans while the aim is to minimize the total weighted tardiness. The motivation for the research is the scheduling of the production processes that involve several ways how to complete a product. The goal is to select and schedule only one process plan for each product such that the penalty costs for tardy activities are minimized. We employ a population based method, extended bya definition of alternative process plans, to solve the problem.
