Minimizing Total Weighted Tardiness and Total Processing Costs for the Scheduling with Alternative Process Plans
Original language description
This paper deals with the scheduling on dedicated machines considering sequence dependent setup times and alternative process plans while the aim is to minimize the total weighted tardiness and the total processing costs. The motivation for the researchis the scheduling of the production processes that involve several ways how to complete a product. The goal is to select and schedule only one process plan for each product such that the penalty costs for tardy activities and the total processing costs are minimized. We employ a population based method, extended by a definition of alternative process plans, to solve the problem.
