Original language description
A more stable and reliable version of the 33063 inverting switching regulator was suggested, comprehensively simulated by our original circuit analyzer and optimizer CIA (Circuit Interactive Analyzer), and experimentally fabricated in more package versions. Big attention was devoted to accurate band-gap modeling with auxiliary current source. However, the most important improvement has been achieved by several novel arrangements of electronic fuses. Moreover, the values of the fuse elements were optimized in the direct-current transfer section, which is a unique feature of the CIA program. In this way, much more reliable (and fast) electronic fuses were created and tested. Note that the optimization properties of the CIA program have been published ina detailed way in the Solid-State Electronics (a journal with the impact factor 1.438) in the 2010's October issue. The experimental versions were prepared in both classical big (as NCP33063) and small (as SCY99093) packages.
