Pilot's Rating of Assisstive Technologies for Emergency Landing
Original language description
This paper presents subjective results from experiment with focus on ultra-light aircraft (aircraft with MTOM<2250kg) navigation system implemented in electronic flight information system (EFIS). EFISes are slowly replacing gauges and will play an important role in the future. Some systems are also equipped with guidance systems to help pilot maintain correct flight level and to aid with safe approach and landing. At Czech Technical University in Prague was designed emergency landing assistant. Navigation is the key issue discussed in this paper. Main aim is to gain insight on how pilots want to use these systems, and find ways in which the modern technology will bring the most outcomes (in both safety and comfort) to pilots of UL aircrafts.
