In-situ observation (during the passivation procedure) can significantly reduce time needed to find appropriate parameters for effective passivation of thin film solar cells in water vapour. Water vapour pressures in range (0.01 MPa ? 0.1 MPa) and sampletemperatures in range (55°C ? 110°C) were tested. Significant discrepancy of measured DC and AC open-circuit voltage Voc was observed. Reasonable recalculation procedure to determine DC Voc from AC Voc of the solar cell was suggested. Suns-Voc method was used to measure Voc of the solar cell at 1 SUN in DC mode. AC Voc observations were realized by a lock-in amplifier sensitive to the frequency of alternating light (70 Hz).
