This paper introduces the basic concept of measuring spontaneous ultra weak photon emission from yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae. The objective of the work is a comparison of ultra weak photon emission from two mitochondrial mutants which di?er in an activity of their energy-generatingpathway. Photon emission has been measured in a visible range utilizing sensitive photomutliplier tube.
