Induction heating in magnetic fields produced by permanent magnets
Original language description
Induction heating of nonmagnetic cylindrical billets in magnetic field produced by permanent magnets is analyzed. The continuous mathematical model of the problem is given by two partial differential equations describing the distribution of magnetic andtemperature fields. The model in the hard-coupled formulation is then solved numerically by a fully adaptive higher-order finite element method. The technique is illustrated by an example whose results are discussed.
