Quido: Arcade Game with Thermo-Haptic Feedback
Original language description
We introduce an arcade game with thermo-haptic feedback. The game demonstrates the ability of heat to deliver information for efficient navigation and orientation in space. The pressure is mapped to the level of danger of objects in the game scene. The surface becomes spiky if the nearby object is dangerous. The long-term testing of the game (7 days) showed that the thermo-haptic feedback seems to be promising feedback modality, as 51 players finished all three levels of the game and 54% of objects werecorrectly identified.
