    Influence of ambient temperature on functioning of dielectric barrier discharge ozone generator.

    Ozone has due to its high relative speed of reactions with chemical and biological species many applications. Generation of ozone by electrical discharge is a complex process, which apart on electrical parameters of the discharge depends also on temperature. The temperature can be associated with the balance of the discharge heat generation and the heat removal. The heat removal from the discharge chamber can be, except of the cooling of the chamber, also affected by input and output of air to or from the discharge chamber. For surface dielectric barrier discharge in air we investigated concentration of produced ozone as a function of average discharge power for temperatures 15 °C and 24 °C, which are the values at which are most frequently functioningcommercial ozonizers. We found, that even smal l increase of air temperature from 15°C to 24 °C decreases for particular discharge power ozone concentration to about 60 % of its original value.
