Virtual Sensor of Mass Flow Inside the Air-Conditioning Unit
Original language description
Though, big number of researches has been carried out on FDD (Fault Detection and Diagnostics) technology for buildings, functionality of modern FDD systems is distinctly restricted by disposable sensors. This limitations can be transcended with so-called Virtual Sensors, those are used to estimate quantity by means of lower cost physical sensors and mathematical models. We developed Virtual Sensor, which estimates mass flow rate of supply and exhaust air inside Air-Conditioning Unit using temperature measurements. Calculations are based on mathematical model of recuperator (Heat recovery ventilation, HRV). Implemented physical principles are described. Furthermore, results of modeling are evaluated with laboratory tests.
