    Design of the High-Voltage Optical Sensor

    The article is focused on own design of an optical sensor for high-voltage measurement. High-voltage optical sensor is based on the linear electro-optical effect which is based on the principle of a linear optical polarization in the anisotropic crystals. The electro-optical measurement system is designed for AC. The main element of the optical voltage sensor is in an anisotropic crystal. For the high-voltage measurement are commonly used of capacitive dividers. These equipments are needed to be calibrated and operative measurement is complicated due to large dimensions. The optical voltage sensor is galvanic separated of the measuring device, so a sensor is allowed to carry out measurements near to the high-power applications. An optical measuring method provides a dynamics measuring.
