*A tool for checking a Profinet IRT message schedule has been designed and realized. It checks data that are sent by the Profinet IO Controller during application relation establishment to the Profinet IO Devices. Rules have been designed to check the message schedule, which respect the output of the message scheduler, GSDML parameters for each device and corresponding data from the configuration blocks sent to the devices. The rules have been designed in conformance with standard IEC 61158-5 and 61158-6.

Technical parameters
The tool gets the message schedule generated by an engineering tool, checks it with the capabilities of the related PN IO Devices and also checks the data records that are sent by the PN IO Controller to the individual PN IO Devices. The checking rules are created according to the IRT Engineering Guideline, provided by PI.
Economical parameters
Using IRTcheck allows the manufacturers of the PN IO Controllers to check the data records that are used to configure the IRT communication among the PN IO Controller and the PN IO Devices. Next to PNO other major manufacturers of PN IO Controller and/orPN IO Devices contributed to the financing: Siemens, Beckhoff, Molex, Softing, WAGO, Phoenix Contact.
