Preface paper to the collection of selected papers from the 2019 edition of the IBWS international workshop published in the Special Issue. The 16th of a series of successful workshops on high-energy astrophysics, small satellites, and related ground experiments was held in Karlovy Vary from May 20 to 24, 2019. INTEGRAL/BART Workshop was a working meeting of experts (with the active participation of young research fellows and students) in the field of space exploration with the help of satellites observing in the gamma and X-ray regions. The problematics in Real-Time Image Processing In Astronomy, together with Small satellites, instruments, and related the ground-based experiments (e.g., robotic telescopes...), were presented at the conference as well.
