The paper presents a publicly available set of spatial sound source localization data from Virtual Acoustic Space (VAS) for generic and individualized Head-Related Transfer Functions (HRTFs), obtained from subjective measurements on 57 subjects. The paper also focuses on the description of the structure of developed workplaces for HRTF measurement and sound source localization in VAS. The measurements were conducted to investigate the importance of individualized HRTF on the accurate spatial localization of sound sources. The results indicated that the usage of the individualized HRTF showed partial statistical significance when the localized sound source was part of a complex scene. The results also illustrated that sparse representation of individualized HRTFs led to the same results in localization as densely measured HRTFs when interpolated identically. The paper also points out the possible usage of the obtained data, such as training or validating data for human hearing models.
