Fluxgate Magnetopneumography
Original language description
Magnetopneumography is a method of mapping the deposition of ferromagnetic dust respired into the lungs by means of its remanent field. Our target is to develop ambulatory system based on fluxgate gradiometer, which would be suitable for routine magnetopneumographic examination of exposed workers, mainly welders and metal grinders. The measurements of magnetic properties of dust and welding fumes collected from the workplaces and of the lung tissue samples had shown that the DC field sufficient for magnetization of the lungs before the measurement is 100 mT.
