Original language description
In some applications of contactless DC current sensors the required precision is in the range of 1 mA. In such a case the resolution of the sensor is commonly sufficient but total error is determined by the sensor sensitivity to external magnetic fields.This unwanted sensitivity is due to the magnetic leakage and may be effectively suppressed by using magnetic shielding of proper construction. Simple current clamp with O.5 mA resolution and O.5 % linearity is shielded so that the external unclamped current of 40 A causes error of 8 mA.
